Conversational AI (in beta) can greet the visitor, check the request against your rules, and approve, deny, or escalate — or it falls back to your intercom, keypad, or a guest pass. Either way, the attempt is logged.

Every install follows the same playbook. We assess your site from photos and pre-configure the hardware before it ships. From your go-ahead, ordering and pre-configuring that hardware and scheduling the crew usually takes about 2–3 weeks; the on-site work itself is under a day. The physical mount typically takes 2–3 hours on your existing motor. It's done by a GateGuardX-certified partner where one is available, or by your own gate installer or electrician while our engineers guide them remotely. Your itemized quote states which applies to your site. Then we connect the dashboard and test with real vehicles before you're live. No rewiring, no concrete work, no structural changes, and for multi-site rollouts, we lock the playbook at your first gate and repeat it, site by site.

How does GateGuardX open the gate?

A camera reads the license plate of an approaching vehicle, a small on-site computer matches it against your authorized list in under a second, and a controller triggers the gate you already have to open. Because it reads on approach, the decision is made before the vehicle reaches the gate.

What hardware does it use?

Three pieces, all included except the gate itself: a plate-reading camera, a small on-site computer that does the recognition locally, and a controller that wires into your existing gate motor — no rip-and-replace.

Does it keep working if the internet goes down?

Yes — for up to 30 days fully local, with no event upload. Plate recognition and gate opening run on-site, so gates keep opening on the cached access list even if the internet drops; every event syncs automatically once the connection returns.

What gets logged for each vehicle?

Every crossing is recorded with a timestamp, the recognized plate, a photo of the vehicle, and a short video clip — all searchable by plate, date, or vehicle group.

How long does installation take?

The on-site work is under a day — typically a 2–3 hour mount on your existing gate motor — done by a GateGuardX-certified partner or by your own installer with our engineers guiding remotely. Most sites are live within about 2–3 weeks of giving the go-ahead.
